The white giraffe, 1902, Emilio Salgari

Devo dire di non amare particolarmente Salgari come scrittore, anzi, ma appena ho cercato altre opere minori mi è subito saltato all'occhio questo titolo "la giraffa bianca" del 1902, mi sembrava così romantico e strano, una giraffa albina.
Certo la mia interpretazione è molto delicata rispetto al racconto, ma d'altra parte questa sono io.
Ho immaginato la giraffa che silenziosamente si addormenta nell'oasi marocchina, al riparo dai cacciatori che vogliono far di lei un trofeo di caccia.
I colori che ho utilizzato sono veramente vintage, sembra un vecchio disegno ritrovato chissà dove.
Questa tavola è per il concorso "sulle rotte dell'avventura.in viaggio con il capitano emilio salgari", in pratica il Lucca Junior che si terrà all'interno della manifestazione Lucca Comics and Games questo autunno.
E' la prima volta che partecipo a questo concorso e manco a dirlo...speriamo bene:)

I have to say that I don't love Salgari as a writer, but when I looked for other minor works, I immediately fall in love with this title "the giraffe white" in 1902, it seemed so romantic and strange, an albino giraffe!
Of course, my interpretation is very delicate respect to the story, but this is me.
I imagined a giraffe who quietly falls asleep in a Moroccan oasis, away from the hunters who want to make her a trophy hunting.
The colors I used are really vintage, looks like an old illustration found somewhere.
This illustration is for the competition "on the routes of the adventure. Traveling with Captain Emilio Salgari", in practice the Lucca Junior to be held within the event Lucca Comics and Games this fall.
It's the first time I participate in this competition and needless to say ... hope it will be well:)
