Calendario Tapirulan 2012

Questa è l'immagine che ho spedito quest'anno per il concorso Tapirulan, il tema era "privacy".
Lo so che i miei lavori di solito devono essere spiegati perchè all'apparenza non sembrano attinenti al tema, non sono così immediati, ma il fatto è che mi creo delle storie nella mente e cerco di riportare su carta l'idea principale. Questa illustrazione è ispirata a uno dei personaggi del panorama zoofilo-scientifico che io adoro, ovvero Charles Darwin, credo che ogni essere umano sulla terra sappia chi è.
Insomma mi sono immaginata il momento della scrittura e degli appunti raffazzonati in un diario, mentre crea la sua opera più importante sull'evoluzione delle specie.
Il fatto è che quelli di Charles erano appunti bollenti, rischiava grosso a mostrali in pubblico e ad esporre la sua teoria sull'evoluzione delle specie, così, silenziosamente scriveva, appuntava e disegnava gli strani becchi degli uccellini selvatici.

La frase che spiega l'immagine e che ho inviato nell'iscrizione al concorso fa capire meglio di qualunque altra cosa quello che volevo rappresentare e che spero si sia colto:

Charles si allontanò dal campo e dai suoi compagni di viaggio -"Finalmente un pò di privacy" pensò, si sedette su una pietra blu nel fitto della foresta ed iniziò ad aggiustare i suoi appunti di viaggio, pensava di essere solo, non sapeva quanto si sbagliava!

This is the image that I sent for the 2012 competition TAPIRULAN, the theme was "privacy."

I know that my work must usually be explained because it apparently does not appear relevant to the topic, are not as immediate, but the fact is that I create in the minds some stories and i try to put the final idea on paper . This illustration was inspired by a character of the scientific landscape that I love : Charles Darwin, I believe that every human being on earth knows who he is.

In short, I imagined the moment of writing and the botched notes in a diary, while he created his most important work on the evolution of species.

The fact is that those of Charles were hot notes, a big risk to show them in public, and to expound his theory on the evolution of species, as well, silently wrote notes and drawings of the strange wild birds' beaks.


The sentence that explains the image and the inscription I sent the contest is to understand better than any other thing I wanted to be and that I hope will be taken:
